Do I have to actually smile?

Yes — that's the whole point. Nobody gets verified by walking past a camera. You choose to smile, and that's when authentication happens.

What do you store?

Enrolled facial images and biometric templates for reliable verification, plus authentication logs. We don't sell biometric information or use it for advertising.

Can verification get it wrong?

Yes — biometric authentication is probabilistic. We design pilot workflows so uncertain matches can include fallback review by staff.

Which hardware works?

Android-compatible devices for now — iPads are not currently supported. We can set up on your hardware or provide our own.

How long does it take?

Enrollment: about 10 seconds. Verification: about 2 seconds.

Can it take payments?

Not yet — Smiley Payments is coming soon. Today we're focused on check-ins and authentication.
